How to block a shot

The best shot block technique is to lie down and face the opposite direction the puck is going. People who like to block shots are basically not scared of anything. People who shy away from the shot block will most likely be guys who don't play on the penalty kill. In clutch situations the coach loves when people fall to the ice for a super speedy puck flying at there chest. Its for the boys, the guys on your team that would love to take the W in the win column. Especially if theres some serious mustard on the shot that he blocks.

You must skate as close to the opposition skater as possible. Drop to the ground and make sure you hold your neck with your glove so if you get hit there you wont almost die. If you go to tongues out you must put your blade at the front of your ankle to keep away from breaking your foot. In order for it not to hurt your arm when you get hit there you must have large elbow pads and great protection from your glove. If you do all of these things correctly you ill successfully have blocked a shot!
